60s 70s Girl

Painted from a live model dressed up as a 60s and 70s girl. It was really fun to paint in a graphic design inspired way instead of the usual render-esque method. We focused more on composition and flat shapes to show off the appeal of the decades. Thanks for visiting

Colossus character and Keyframe WIP

This is the last Colossus our hero fights. As you can see with the human scale, this guy is gigantic. His body is made of feathers, bone, wood, and stone. He is a rusty reddish and purple color due to his petrification. There are some issues with the foot closest to the viewer which I have to fix.

This is a work in progress for my second keyframe for the Shadow of the Colossus game. As you can see, the hero's just beginning the fight with the huge colossus. This is already changed quite a bit, but I'll leave this here for process' sake.

Thanks for viewing! There will be more to come!

Shadow of the Colossus Keyframe One

A preliminary and final version of a keyframe. This is the opening scene where the hero's village is in the path of a colossus. This large beast is reaching the end of its life, and it's making an exodus to its place of birth. It's head is that of a bird yet the body is like a bull.

As the colossi age, their organic bodies petrify and turn a vibrant color. The colossi may collapse or rest on a holy ground in which its body will mesh with the surroundings until it is reborn again.

Just my thoughts as I was painting things.

SOTC: Two Character Variations and Final

Art Deco, Art Nouveau

I believe this is the first time I've digitally painted from a live model. It was weird, and at times it got frustrating (in the sense that I'd rather just mix the colors on a palette!), but I got the hang of it. Shiniest backdrop ever. Props to Justine.
