I had the opportunity to paint in my good friend Justin Pichetrungsi's class (Digital Painting for Entertainment) at Art Center At Nite South Campus. Enjoy!

Long-haired Japanese ghost edition.
15-20 minute poses, digital painting on Photoshop.
I'm trying to work out the expressiveness using what Photoshop brushes are available to me. It's harder to get the feel and sensibility when I don't have a real brush to manipulate in millions of ways. Sure I may have all sorts of layer modes, shape dynamics, dual brushes, jitters... but nothing beats a real paintbrush for sure.

60s 70s Girl
Painted from a live model dressed up as a 60s and 70s girl. It was really fun to paint in a graphic design inspired way instead of the usual render-esque method. We focused more on composition and flat shapes to show off the appeal of the decades. Thanks for visiting

Art Deco, Art Nouveau
I believe this is the first time I've digitally painted from a live model. It was weird, and at times it got frustrating (in the sense that I'd rather just mix the colors on a palette!), but I got the hang of it. Shiniest backdrop ever. Props to Justine.
